The International Budo Academy was founded in 1994 as an independent educational institute founded by like-minded Martial Artists who have been practicing Budo for many years.

 

The Academy prepares Martial Artists for quality teaching and certifies instructors, teachers and masters of various levels. The Academy also offers a range of academic degrees, including a PhD in Martial Arts.

 

The Academy’s goals and objectives:

 

·        The Academy provides a formal educational program for the Budo practitioners.

·        The Academy provides full academic courses of Martial Arts towards an accredited academic degree.

·        The Academy prepares Martial Artists for quality teaching and certifies instructors and teachers of a number of levels: Assistant Instructor, Instructor, Teacher, Senior Teacher and Master.

·        The goal of the Academy is to broaden the professional horizons of senior Budoka, to encourage research, developing, writing and publishing of professional material and learning agendas.

·        The Academy functions as an independent professional body to improve and broaden the education of its members and students.

·        The Academy has set down a professional code of ethics and is promoting the public image of the Martial Arts and Martial Artists.
